Jessie Curtner, AMFT Associate

Jessie Curtner (AMFT) specializes in treating anxiety and challenging relationship dynamics.  Working with individuals, couples and families she’s successfully helped her clients find more satisfaction in their lives  and more closeness in their relationships. Jessie loves working with couples who desire more out of their relationship but feel unsure of how to get there. She also enjoys helping clients who struggle with anxiety to better understand, and find relief from, anxious thought patterns.

Jessie has extensive training in psychodynamic therapy. This means she is curious  about how a person’s unique past influences the present and how what is not yet fully understood can cause suffering. Jessie believes that understanding is the first step toward change.  Jessie’s approach is active, honest, warm, sometimes funny and always curious.  Jessie sees therapy as a healing relationship that can become a template for how to relate to yourself and others.

Jessie completed a post-master’s internship at  APA accredited RAMS Outpatient Clinic where she worked with individuals, couples and children struggling with more severe mental health challenges.  She received her masters degree in integral psychology from CIIS, where she was exposed to a variety of evidence-based therapy methods from which she draws. Prior to working as a therapist, Jessie worked for many years as a business coach helping her client’s make steps toward more fulfilling careers. She integrates the practicality of coaching into her therapy practice.
