Jessie Curtner, AMFT Associate

Jessie is a registered Associate Marriage and Family therapist whose specialties and interests include individuals suffering from severe mental health challenges, couples seeking to find more intimacy and families wanting a more connected family unit. Jessie has successfully helped individuals, couples and families, with a broad spectrum of mental health challenges and life circumstances, to find more ease and satisfaction in their lives.
Jessie has extensive training in psychodynamic therapy. This means she is curious about how a person’s unique past influences the present and how what is not yet fully understood can cause suffering. Jessie sees therapy as an opportunity to make meaning out of even our most difficult challenges and to use insight to propel us toward growth. Jessie’s approach is active, warm, sometimes funny and always curious. She supports clients in developing greater self acceptance, confidence and relationship satisfaction.
Jessie completed a post-master’s internship at APA accredited RAMS Outpatient Clinic where she worked with individuals, couples and children struggling with more severe mental health challenges. She received her masters degree in integral psychology from CIIS, where she was exposed to a variety of evidence-based therapy methods from which she draws. Prior to working as a therapist, Jessie worked for many years as a business coach helping her client’s make steps toward more fulfilling careers. She integrates the practicality of coaching into her therapy practice.
